Cougars Logo History
The Carolina Cougars logo has been a part of the team’s history since its inception in 1970. The original logo featured an orange and blue cougar head, with a basketball in its mouth. This design was used for two seasons before being replaced by the current logo which features a more stylized version of the same image, with sharper lines and bolder colors.
The new Carolina Cougars logo has become synonymous with success and pride within the organization as well as among fans throughout North Carolina. It is often seen on merchandise such as hats, t-shirts, mugs, key chains, and other items that are popular among both young people who follow their favorite teams closely or those who simply want to show support for their local sports team.
Overall it can be said that while there have been some changes to this iconic symbol over time it still retains much of what made it so recognizable when first introduced nearly half a century ago; namely being able to capture both strength & power along with subtle elegance & grace all at once - something truly rare amongst logos today!
