Condors Logo History

The Pittsburgh Condors have had a long and storied history since their inception in the American Basketball Association (ABA) in 1967. Throughout their time as part of the ABA, they have gone through several logo changes to reflect different eras and styles. The first logo used by the Condors was a simple black-and-white design featuring an eagle perched atop a basketball with “Pittsburgh” written underneath it. This logo was used until 1971 when it was replaced with one that featured two eagles facing each other while holding up basketballs which had "Condors" written on them.

In 1974, the team changed its name to “Carolina Cougars” but kept its original logos intact for another season before transitioning into new designs that featured more vibrant colors such as yellow, red, and blue along with an updated version of their original eagle mascot design at center court surrounded by stars representing each state represented within Carolina Cougars territory—North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia & Georgia. In 1976 this color scheme would be tweaked slightly to feature brighter blues & greens instead of reds & yellows which allowed for better visibility during televised games or from far away seats inside arenas where fans could still make out what team they were watching even if not close enough to read any text on uniforms or signage around courtside areas.

Throughout all these changes over time, however, one thing has remained constant: The Pittsburgh Condor's commitment to excellence both on and off the court! They may no longer exist today but we can always look back fondly at those days spent cheering our favorite teams while wearing some truly amazing pieces of memorabilia featuring iconic logos like theirs! From vintage t-shirts emblazoned with classic designs from the 1970s era right through modern-day replicas celebrating current players - there is something special about seeing these symbols come alive again every time you put them on!
