Mavericks Logo History
The Houston Mavericks logo has been around since the team’s inception in 1967. The original logo was a simple “M” with a star, representing the city of Houston and its iconic skyline. Over the years, slight modifications were made to this classic design such as adding blue trim to represent Texas pride and changing up some of the lettering styles used for “Houston Mavericks.” In 1996, however, major changes were made when they adopted an updated version that featured bold colors and sharper lines; it also had a much larger star at its center which symbolized Texas' Lone Star State status.
In 2010 another redesign was launched which included even more vibrant colors as well as unique shapes like arrows pointing forward - signifying progress - within each letterform used for "Houston Mavericks." This new look also featured two hands clasped together in solidarity on either side of their wordmark while still maintaining elements from their previous designs such as stars throughout various parts of their graphic identity system (GIS). Finally, in 2018 yet another update occurred where they incorporated many different shades into one cohesive color palette along with modern typography choices that further emphasized strength & unity between players & fans alike!
Today's current design is representative not only of what makes them uniquely Texan but also celebrates how far they've come over time both on-and-off court; it stands out among other professional sports logos due to its combination of traditional symbolism combined with contemporary aesthetics! As long there are fans cheering them on from near or afar – no matter what year or season – you can be sure that this beloved icon will remain part of Texans' hearts forevermore!
