Tiger-Cats Wordmark Logo
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have a long and storied history in the Canadian Football League (CFL). As one of the oldest teams in the league, they’ve seen their fair share of changes over time. One thing that has remained constant throughout is their iconic wordmark logo.
The original version was created back in 1950 when it debuted on jerseys worn by players during home games at Ivor Wynne Stadium. It featured two orange stripes with black lettering spelling out “Tiger-Cats” across them, along with an orange football between them to represent the team's nickname and mascot. This design remained largely unchanged until 1998 when it received a minor update to its font style giving it a more modern look while still keeping true to its roots as an old-school classic logo design.
In 2013, there was another major redesign that saw some significant changes made including replacing both stripes with just one thicker stripe running horizontally across all letters except for “TIGER” which was written vertically down either side of this new stripe instead – creating a much bolder look overall than before! The colors also shifted slightly from bright oranges into deeper reds and golds; adding even greater depth & texture within each letterform itself too! Finally, some additional details such as stars around each corner added further visual interest making sure viewers could easily recognize this updated emblem from afar without any confusion or doubt about who exactly they are watching a play on game day!
Overall then – whether you love or hate these various updates over time - there can be no denying that Hamilton Tiger-Cat's wordmark logo has become synonymous with success & longevity within CFL circles due to its ever-evolving yet timeless appearance throughout decades worth of competition now behind us all together...
