Barracudas Primary Logo

The Birmingham Barracudas are a professional Canadian Football League (CFL) team based in Birmingham, Alabama. The team was founded in 1995 and played its first season in 1996. Although the Barracudas only lasted three seasons before folding, they left behind an iconic logo that is still recognizable today.

The primary logo for the Barracudas features a black and red shield with two crossed swords at its center. On either side of the swords are two large black crescents, each bearing four white stars on their lower edges to represent Alabama’s state flag as well as symbolizing strength and courage – perfect attributes for any football team! Above this design is a banner with “Birmingham” written across it while below reads “Barracuda Football Club." This simple yet bold design perfectly captures both the spirit of football and the pride of being from Birmingham all at once!

In addition to this primary logo, there were also several alternate logos used by the Barracuda during their short existence including one featuring flames around an outlined map of Alabama; another which had just one sword crossing over itself; plus others displaying various fish-related designs such as barramundi or shark heads surrounded by flames or lightning bolts respectively. All these variations helped make sure no matter where you looked – whether it be on merchandise or TV broadcasts - you could always find something related to your beloved hometown CFL franchise!

Today though much has changed since those days when fans would cheer on their favorite players wearing jerseys adorned with these classic logos thankfully we can still look back fondly upon them knowing that even though they may have been short-lived they will never be forgotten thanks largely due to what remains: A timeless emblem representing not just our city but also our love for American football here in Birmingham!
