A stylized Spartan helmet with dynamic linework that suggests forward motion. It's designed to reflect the team's strength, leadership, and momentum, and it's positioned to mirror the outline of South Carolina in its facial features. The helmet also features the crescent moon from the South Carolina flag, a state symbol, in green, black, and white.
Called the Spirit Mark logo.

USC Upstate Spartans Logo History

Rather than replacing core branding, each USC Upstate Spartans alternate logo added visual flexibility. For example, simplified marks improved clarity. As a result, the USC Upstate athletics logo remained recognizable while adapting to modern athletic branding needs.
