Guardians Wordmark Logo
The Orlando Guardians are a professional American football team based in Orlando, Florida. The team is part of the XFL and their wordmark logo has become an iconic symbol for the franchise. This essay will discuss the history of this logo and how it has evolved over time to represent what the organization stands for today.
The original design of the Orlando Guardians’ wordmark was created by graphic designer John Vassallo back in 2017 when they were first announced as one of eight teams joining XFL's inaugural season. It featured a bold font with two lions facing each other on either side, which represented strength, courage, and loyalty; all qualities that define an ideal Guardian player or fan base member. In 2019, after two seasons playing in the XFL competition, Vassallo updated his design to include more details such as stars around both lion's heads and new colors that better reflected their home city’s bright atmosphere - orange & blue hues mixed with black & white accents creating a powerful visual identity for fans everywhere!
Today this logo still serves as an important representation not only within sports but also throughout Central Florida itself where people proudly wear merchandise featuring its image on hats shirts etc., showing off their support wherever they go! Its strong symbolism continues to inspire those who sport it while reminding us all why we love watching our beloved Guardians play – because no matter what happens during any given game day nothing can break down our spirit or take away from our passion towards them!
