Posse Primary Logo
The Las Vegas Posse is a former Canadian Football League (CFL) team that played for just one season in 1994. Although their stay was brief, the franchise left an indelible mark on the league's history with its iconic primary logo.
The classic design featured a black and silver shield-like shape with two crossed pistols at its center, representing both the city of Las Vegas and American Western culture as a whole. The word "POSSE" appears above in bold red lettering while "LAS VEGAS" appears below it in a smaller white typeface. This instantly recognizable logo has since become synonymous with CFL teams located outside of Canada – particularly those based south of the border – due to its unique combination of regional imagery and contemporary style elements.
As part of their branding efforts during this period, they also adopted several other logos including an alternate version featuring four stars instead of guns along with several secondary designs that incorporated additional graphics such as playing cards or dice symbols into their overall look. While these may not have been quite as successful or memorable, they still served to further reinforce what made this team so distinctive: namely, being one-of-a-kind within professional football circles by embracing both traditional values from America’s Wild West heritage together with modern sensibilities associated today’s entertainment capital cities like Las Vegas itself!
