Rhode Island Breakers
The Rhode Island Breakers logo centers on a bold, interlocking “RI” monogram in deep navy blue, set in a heavy slab-serif style with sharp, angular edges. The “I” doubles as a lighthouse: its upper portion rises into a lantern room with a pointed cap, while the shaft is filled with a bright blue and neon yellow-green diagonal stripe pattern that suggests both the classic banded lighthouse look and beams of light. A thin royal blue outline traces the letterforms, giving the mark depth and separating it from the background.
Beneath the monogram, “RHODE ISLAND” appears in small, widely spaced royal blue capitals, and “BREAKERS” sits below in large, blocky navy slab-serif letters that echo the monogram’s weight. The palette of navy, royal blue and electric yellow-green evokes the ocean and coastal light, and the lighthouse motif ties the identity to Rhode Island’s maritime heritage, with the “Breakers” name nodding to crashing surf along the state’s shoreline.

Rhode Island Breakers Primary Logo History
The Rhode Island Breakers logo was first shown on October 18, 2026, at a launch party inside Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket. The design takes the state’s initials, “RI,” and links them together, with a lighthouse standing in for the “I” as it rises from a bold “R.” This is the Rhode Island Breakers lighthouse logo that fans will see on helmets, jerseys, and gear when the team starts play in 2027. The UFL said the lighthouse stands for a beacon of strong energy and community pride, and it also fits the Breakers name, since lighthouses stand tall through the roughest seas.
The Rhode Island Breakers colors add to the sea theme. The team uses Riptide Blue, Nor’easter Navy, Beacon Yellow, and Whitecap, and each shade nods to the Ocean State nickname. The blue and navy bring to mind the water and the storms that roll in from the coast, the yellow matches the light at the top of the lighthouse, and the white looks like foam on a breaking wave.
The name behind the logo also has a history. The original Breakers played in the USFL from 1983 to 1985, and the UFL brought the name back for Rhode Island. This design is a fresh start for the team, so it is the only version in our archive for now. As new marks come out, we will add each one so fans can see how the Rhode Island Breakers logo changes over time. For more team details, visit the Rhode Island Breakers history page.
