Breakers Logo History
The New Orleans Breakers were a professional American football team that played in the United States Football League (USFL) from 1984 to 1985. The team was based out of Louisiana, and they had some of the most unique and memorable logos in USFL history. From their classic “NOLA” logo to their iconic fleur-de-lis shield, the Breakers left an indelible mark on sports fans all across America.
When the USFL first launched in 1983, there was a lot of excitement surrounding its potential as an alternative pro football league for fans who wanted something different than what NFL teams could offer them at that time. One way this new league tried to stand out from its competitors was by allowing teams more freedom when it came to designing their own logos; this gave us many creative designs like those seen with the New Orleans Breakers' various iterations over two seasons.
The original logo featured three white letters spelling "NOLA" above a black background with red trimming along each side—a simple yet powerful design that immediately caught people's attention and became synonymous with both Louisiana culture as well as pro football fandom throughout much of North America during those years. In addition, another popular version included a bright yellow fleur-de-lis inside a navy blue circle encircled by stars representing each state within USFL territory; this particular emblem quickly grew into one of the most recognizable symbols associated not only with New Orleans but also other cities around the country where similar versions were adopted by local franchises competing against one another under the same banner.
While we may never know why exactly these particular designs resonated so strongly amongst sports enthusiasts back then or why they still remain popular today amongst vintage jersey collectors worldwide., it is clear that even after 35+ years since last playing a game together., memory & legacy left behind through these timeless images will continue live on forever!
