The Los Angeles Lakers have been a well-known team since their inception in 1947. And throughout the years, they have had multiple logos and jersey designs. But with the 2023-2024 season coming, the Lakers are unveiling a new, updated set of logos for the first time in several years.
The new logo retains the same design as the previous Lakers' logo, featuring purple, gold, and white as the predominant colors. However, the new logo is bolder and more streamlined than its predecessor, giving the team a fresh and sophisticated new look.
The design replaces the previous Lakers logo, which prominently featured a basketball and the word "Lakers" together, with a new one that separates the two elements. The basketball is now a stylish and more substantial silhouette than before, while "Lakers" is in bold letters that are stretched out. The "L" in the new logo is a nod to the city of Los Angeles, featuring a star in the center. The star has six points, symbolizing the six decades the Lakers have been operating.
In addition, the Los Angeles Lakers have recently introduced an updated partial logo featuring a new shade of purple that pays tribute to the team's storied history.
The new shade of purple is a brighter, more vibrant hue than the traditional purple that the Lakers have used in the past. This new shade was inspired by the purple uniform worn by the team during the 1960s and 70s, bringing back a classic look that fans have come to love.

The new alternate logo retains many elements that fans have come to appreciate, including the classic font and the prominent positioning of the Lakers' L, which has become synonymous with the team's identity. The updated logo incorporates the new shade of purple boldly and excitingly, taking an already iconic symbol to the next level.
This isn't the first time the Lakers have updated their logo and branding in their many years of operation. It's a smart move for an organization seeking to stay current with modern trends while remaining true to its roots and traditions. With this updated alternate logo, Lakers fans can rest assured that their team will look sharp and on point for years to come.
The updated alternate logo for the Los Angeles Lakers is a fantastic addition to their iconic branding. The new purple shade adds fresh excitement while keeping the timeless look that has made the team so revered. With this sleek and updated branding, the Los Angeles Lakers are committed to staying at the forefront of NBA culture and aesthetics for years to come.
The Lakers organization has been experimenting with design concepts to create something fresh and unique. They have finally arrived at a logo that not only looks great but is also a perfect representation of the team's values.
This new and updated logo is visually appealing and showcases the team's connection to the city of Los Angeles in a subtle but meaningful way. The bold design is a departure from the team's previous look, and it's already creating a buzz among fans who can't wait to see their favorite players take to the court sporting the new uniforms.
Overall, the new Los Angeles Lakers' logos are a fresh and unique update, celebrating the team's legacy while looking towards the future. Fans will undoubtedly be eager to show their support for the team with this fresh new look.
