#1 - Jacksonville Jaguars

Alliteration is always an excellent way to name a team, which is why the Jacksonville Jaguars aren't called the Jacksonville Snow Leopards. But their image has only had one small change in over 25 years they've been in the league.

The new version doesn’t look appreciably different than the old one, but it’s a step up. The old logo looks like it was made by the owner's teenage daughter, whose artistic skills are only topped by her father's delusions.

This cat looks more funny than scary because it is yawning and not growling. I don't know what's on its head, but the oval specs look like a new type of bacteria you'd see under a microscope.

#2 - Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals' image has changed about eight times that I can remember, but the first one, from around 1968, is the funniest. I know it was the Woodstock age when everyone was making love and getting high, but I didn't know that Tony the Tiger's stepbrother was a methhead from Queen City.

#3 - Carolina Panthers

In 1995, Carolina Panthers were inducted into the NFL, the same year as the Jaguars. The artist who made the Jaguars' logo must have been having a two-for-one sale, and we all know that the Panthers' owners are cheap. In 28 years, they changed their image from this to this.

I'd love to know what the "artist" said when he or she showed the suits in charge of capturing the ferocity of this brand, the new, aerodynamic, avant-garde design. Do you think everyone stood in awkward quiet before the wife’s owner walked in and said, “Oh, I love what you did, Reynard!”

That moment marked the turning point, capturing everyone's attention and igniting their fascination with this exquisite masterpiece. The team members in their suits exchanged approving nods while Reynard, overwhelmed with joy, nearly lost his beret while basking in her accolades. Finally, the Panthers had unveiled a design for the 21st century that promised to secure as many Super Bowl victories as its predecessor. The appearance remained unchanged, but the results were set to soar to new heights.

#4 - Detroit Lions

Roar. Still scared? The only thing scarier than going around downtown Detroit at night is this team's terrible performance year after year. I know this is from 1934 to 1951, but is this the best they could do? Really? Do you see the scared look on that cat's face as the running back chases him? From the start, this series was doomed to fail. Compare the old image to the new one.
