NBA concept logos of the Washington Wizards by various design artists from around the world. These are redesigned ideas and not actual team logos.

The Washington Wizards have gone through a lot of rebranding over the past several years. Last year, the team unveiled a new logo halfway through the year (round logo as seen) to better connect the team and history to the city of D.C.
With that being said, the concept I have created is for the team; it connects the team to D.C. The three stars represent Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.

I based this design off of Washington D.C.’s flag which is two red stripes and 3 stars. I used the Washington Monument as one of the basketball lines like in their current logo.

It isn’t easy to make a wizard look cool. My idea from the get-go was to use the negative space from the overlapping Ws to create the shape of the wizard. I soon realized that a big white wizard with a pointy hat was not gonna be acceptable, so I had to work around that. The blue and red, and the simplified typography are a throwback to the old Bullets logo that I liked so much.
