Another hockey concept, this one is a re-imagination of a design that I was working on back in 2011 but never really completed. It’s back with all-new everything. The font has been expanded to be jagged and random, inspired by the sharp lines and pointiness of the lightning bolt crest and TB secondary logo. The Lightning currently have a somewhat boring jersey with only blue and white, it includes a small touch of black but overall looks nearly identical to the classic Toronto Maple Leafs look. This color scheme is re-imagined to be blue and a mid-grey for a palette unique to the NHL. The jerseys return to the team’s modern 90’s beginnings, but uses an extremely consistent striping motif. the familiar “bolt”, a constant for the franchise, is re-done, but comes in to play on the pants and the ends of the sleeves on the home and away. The road uniform features some unexpected slashes of blue on the back, but creates a simple and clean jersey. An alternate design plays off of the bolt even more, and uses the grey more prominently including a tonal stripe across the middle.

Some of the obvious changes include no text, nor florida map, but the addition of a hockey stick and sun rays… yes, its supposed to be a sun, with the bolt and the hockey stick completing the other four points…. Another reason for the spikes or rays (whatever) is that I just think they look cool…
