The San Antonio Spurs are one of, if not the most, successful NBA franchise in the entire league. It’s hard to top the Spurs.
With this concept, I wanted to stay true to look, feel, and history of the Spurs, with not doing something that was over the top.

My main goal with the redesign was to make the spur itself a more iconic and memorable shape. The spinning spur seemed like a good symbol to represent Popovich continually churning out playoff teams for the last 20 years, and the star shape is obviously a reference to Texas.

The fiesta colors were a nice contrast to the black and gray, I think it could be cool to keep those around for an alternate logo.

The Fiesta Don’t Stop: I opted for the peach-orange and teal, no pink. I couldn’t do the pink. Dribbble does the pink well.

With this logo I wanted to use something that represented the city of San Antonio, so I used the Alamo to enclose the type. I made the spur at the base resemble a basketball and I even brought back a hint of their old colors to go with it.
