Columbus SC Wordmark Logo
The Columbus SC wordmark logo has a long and storied history, dating back to the founding of the club in 1996. The original logo featured an eagle with its wings spread wide over a soccer ball, representing both strength and agility. The colors used were red, white, black, and gold; these remained unchanged for many years until 2009 when they were updated to reflect the city’s new identity as “the Friendly City” by adding green into the mix.
In 2013, Columbus SC adopted its current wordmark logo which features an abstract representation of an eagle with its wings spread wide over two stars that represent North America (Columbus was one of three cities on this continent founded by Christopher Columbus). This version also includes four stripes down each side that symbolize unity among supporters while also paying homage to traditional South American flags. Additionally, there are five points along each stripe that signify courage and determination - values embodied by those who have supported this club through thick or thin since day one!
Today's modern-day supporters proudly display their loyalty towards their beloved team through various forms such as wearing clothing featuring this iconic emblem or displaying it at home amongst other memorabilia from past matches attended in person or watched on TV/streaming devices alike! So no matter where you go around town – be sure to keep your eyes peeled for signs showing off just how much locals love supporting ‘their boys’ every step of the way!
