Columbus SC Alternate Logo
Columbus SC is a professional soccer team based in Columbus, South Carolina. The team was founded in 2015 and has been competing in the United Soccer League since 2016. While the main logo for Columbus SC features an image of a lion with wings spread wide, there have also been several alternate logos used over the years that represent different aspects of the city’s history and culture.
The first alternate logo to be used by Columbus SC was unveiled during its inaugural season in 2016. This design featured two crossed swords set against a blue background with red stars above them as well as four stars arranged around it to form an “S” shape representing both South Carolina and Soccer respectively. This symbolizes both strength and courage which are important values for any sports franchise looking to make its mark on local fans.
In 2018, another new alternative logo was released featuring three crescents intertwined together forming one large starburst pattern at its center; this time using green instead of blue as its primary color scheme along with gold accents throughout. The crescents were meant to represent each branch within Fort Jackson located just outside of town while also paying homage to those who serve our country through military service or otherwise; making this particular design more meaningful than simply being aesthetically pleasing alone. Ultimately these various designs help showcase what makes up not only Columbian spirit but southern pride altogether - something that continues long after each game ends!
