The Boston Celtics released a new logo for the 1996 – 1997 season, the current version consists of a now human looking leprechaun with skin coloring and a color outfit such as black pants, white shirt, a gold and green vest with shamrocks, black shoes and a black Irish hat with gold and green shamrocks. He is spinning a brown with black outline basketball on one finger, winking, smoking a white pipe and leaning on a brown cane. A wordmark “BOSTON CELTICS” in white arched around the logo in a green circle.
